The Adventure Sailing class is for those sailors who have successfully completed the Learn to Sail program and who wish to continue to learn more advanced sailing concepts without engaging in competition. Adventure Sailing is for adventurous and experienced sailors who want to sail beyond the buoys.
Sailors will be exposed to all aspects of boat handling, navigation and seamanship. Although the class is offered in 2-week sessions, the course covers a 4-week program to cover many aspects of sailing and cruising. Classes will include: cruising basics, on the water right of way, weather forecasting, emergency procedures, using a compass and navigation aids, tying knots, electronic navigation techniques, plotting and position finding.
