Learn to Sail
The Learn to Sail program is divided into three levels: Beginner, Advanced Beginner, and Intermediate. Each class is conducted in 2-week sessions and at the conclusion of each session, students may graduate to the next level with the recommendation of an instructor. Although most students will acquire entry-level skills quite rapidly, mastering them may take longer. Students often remain in the same course level for several sessions, as the goal is to master the skills at each level before advancing to the next.
Students are given the opportunity to learn sailing and all facets of seamanship by: hoisting sails, tying knots, navigating, experiencing the wind, waves, tides & currents, and obeying the rules-of-the-road. All classes are taught in Pixels, a 14 ft. fiberglass sloop, by US Sailing Level I certified instructors.
